I have ideas

Lots of things don't get done over here

Even more don't get posted.

While that's sad, I do have something for you all today! My project was reclaiming yarn from a failed shawl. The original idea was to use it in conjunction with that multicolored butterfly. Unfortunately that ended up looking dumb and I was a little concerned about little hands and big gaps in the wings.
I still like the butterfly pattern that I used and firmly believe that it will someday be incorporated into one of the baby blankets that I make. So what to do with the rest of the blue yarn?

I used this pattern from my picot to make four hearts and the leftover yarn as a few circles and squares to even it out. I love the squishy-ness of how this yarn worked up. It's a small blanket, but thick and a fun pattern. Of course when I was sewing it all together my mom comes over and goes "when does it actually become a blanket?" *sigh*

Now mom, it's a blanket right now. It may not do much for a full-sized bed... but it's perfect for a crib or traveling with baby.

  1. That's such a cute blanket!! I love the idea of it not having to be square/rectangular—it still looks plenty warm and cozy. What fun! Someday I will learn to crochet... *distant look*

ALSO! I got your package in the mail the other day! Ooooh, they are so great! Whenever I get caught up on my posts you'll see the earrings and necklace in use :D Thanks so much! Also, I feel like a bum for not upholding my part of the deal yet—do you still want that volume of Ouran? (and would you be interested in this? I have an extra copy of it too!)
